Holbox Island is a great fishing spot, some say a fishing paradise.

For many years fishing has been the main economic activity of this island, the captains and the guides are all locals and know these waters as their own pockets.

Mainly there are 3 fishing tour categories:

• Mini or Family Fishing, this tour is also suitable for beginners, couples and family with kids (we recommend for 5+ y.o.). Takes place in the lagoon or 1-2 mile offshore. It is a hand-line fishing tour, catches and fun are guaranteed.
  
  
• Trolling or Deep Sea Fishing is the real thing, big rods, big hooks, big baits, big catches! Amongst the most coveted: barracudas, sailfish, mackerels, huge groupers and snappers.
  
  
• Fly Fishing is definitely for the most experts only; it takes practice to dominate the technique. The huge mighty tarpons are a well-deserved reward.
