Cabo Catoche is the name of the eastern tip of Holbox Island, at more or less 1 hour of navigation and during this motorboat tour you will be:
- fishing: the right time to have fun and get enough fish for your lunch. Hand-line fishing is easy for every one, the fishing spots are known by the experienced captains for the abundance of fish.
- snorkeling*: close to the shore, at about half a mile from the local fishermen beach; the rocky bottom shows a good quantity of marine species including turtles, nurse sharks, napoleon fish, barracudas, starfish and many others.
- eating ceviche: prepared on the boat with the freshest fish that you just caught, best ceviche ever! Lunch take place in the breathtaking shallow crystal clear water Sta. Paula Lagoon, behind the Cabo.
During the navigation it also very common to spot some dolphins and turtles! This excursion is certainly the best tour option when the whale sharks season is off.
*In some rare cases the snorkeling activity is not possible due to the visibility of the water.
